The valve limits pressure in both branches of a hydraulic motor. When a set pressure is reached, the relief element opens to tank T; check valves provide make-up flow to help prevent cavitation during an overrunning motor load. Connect M1/M2 to the motor and V1/V2 to the supply, following the original diagram; T is the separate tank connection. The manufacturer recommends mounting close to the actuator.

The sources disagree on the selected spring execution. Hikom calls V0507/160 a 20-160 bar article. The current factory general catalogue prints a separate 3/8-inch 95-160 bar spring and explicitly mentions V0507/160 in another range-table row. The currently linked family sheet instead groups 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch sizes under 10-180 and 80-300 bar springs.
