Oleodinamica Marchesini V0422/SF VBCD 3/8 DE A SF double counterbalance valve

Oleodinamica Marchesini V0422/SF is the VBCD 3/8 DE A SF double counterbalance valve, with maximum flow of 40 l/min and the factory pilot-ratio designation 1:4.5. The factory maximum operating pressure is 350 bar.

The counterbalance element holds an overrunning actuator and meters its return flow when pilot pressure is applied. The two counterbalance branches control and hold the actuator in both directions; the crossed pilot connections open the return-side branch during commanded movement.

Connect V1/V2 to the directional valve, C1/C2 to the actuator and SF to the motor brake-release circuit. The main ports are 3/8" BSP and the separate SF port is 1/4" BSP. The shuttle arrangement shown in the symbol supplies the brake-release signal. This Type A SF article is distinct from a plain double counterbalance valve and from versions with different pilot ratios.

The catalogue standard setting is 320 bar, separate from the component maximum pressure and from the actual setting of a delivered unit. The manufacturer specifies a setting at least 1.3 times the load-induced pressure to allow the valve to close under maximum load. Apply that guidance to the machine circuit rather than treating it as a new order-code combination.
